Calling him the conservative choice for HD 33, State Rep. Jodie Laubenberg announced Monda her full endorsement of former NFL Player and Texas businessman Scott Turner. The endorsement of the popular state representative adds to the long list of key endorsements which Turner has earned throughout his campaign.
Representative Laubenberg stated, “Scott Turner is a man of the highest character and has unquestioned integrity. He will be an effective, conservative voice for the people of Rockwall and Collin counties. In the next legislative session, there will be immense pressure to raise taxes. When Scott Turner says he opposes new taxes, I know he means it.”
Laubenberg continued, “Scott understands the unique needs of these fast growing areas. With his leadership qualities, business background, and conservative principles, he’ll be able to make an immediate impact on behalf of this district. I’m proud to endorse Scott Turner.”
Responding to the endorsement, Scott Turner said, “I’m humbled and honored to have Jodie Laubenberg in my corner. For nearly a decade, she has worked tirelessly to be an effective, conservative champion for this district and she is highly respected and admired throughout Rockwall and Collin counties. As early voting approaches, this major endorsement builds on the grass roots support we currently enjoy.”
Representative Laubenberg has consistently earned the highest ratings from conservative organizations such as Texans for Fiscal Responsibility and Young Conservatives of Texas. As evidence of her popularity across the district, since her first election to the Texas House in 2002 she has never drawn an opponent in the Republican primary.
Mr. Turner is seeking the Republican nomination for the new Texas House District 33 based in Collin and Rockwall counties. Created as a result of growing population in those counties, the new district was drawn from areas currently represented by State Reps. Ken Paxton and Jodie Laubenberg.
Turner has previously earned endorsements from organizations including Texans For Fiscal Responsibility, Young Conservatives of Texas, Texas Right to Life, and Texas Association of Business BACPAC.
