Contractor Mario Sinacola and Sons will close Eldorado Parkway on the west side of the Custer Road intersection beginning Thursday, July 7, at 9 a.m. through Thursday, July 28, at 6 a.m. The closure is necessary while the contractor finishes intersection improvements. The closure will also coincide with the Westbridge Boulevard reopening.
Message boards will be set up near the intersection to keep the public informed, and a detour route will be marked to guide motorists to Westbridge Blvd. and Independence Pkwy.
This work is part of a $33.7 million construction project to widen Custer Road from two lanes to six lanes between South Stonebridge Drive and U.S. 380. The estimated project completion is summer 2012. TxDOT and Mario Sinacola and Sons Excavating Inc. would like to thank area drivers and local businesses for their continued patience and cooperation as crews work hard to complete this project as soon, and as safely, as possible.
