ReStore prepares for feastfully good fun Saturday

Look out for tiny ghosts, frightful witches and zombies galore as the ReStore holds its annual Birthday Bash/Monster Mash event Saturday, October 19 from 11 am to 2 pm.

The free community event will feature Cathy’s Critters Petting Zoo from 11:30 until 1, games and prizes, piñata break, live entertainment and karaoke from Clint Burgess from 11 to 2, hot dogs, snow cones and drinks, balloon twisting and professional face painting from Faces by Darlene.  A costume contest will begin with children aged 0 – 5 at 1 pm followed by judging for children ages 6 – 12.

The event, presented by Rotary Club of McKinney and sponsored by BB&T Bank, celebrates the fourth anniversary of the North Collin County Habitat for Humanity ReStore, located at 2060 Couch Dr., McKinney.  The store sells new and gently-used construction materials, furniture, home décor, lighting, cabinets, flooring and much more at greatly-discounted prices.  Proceeds from sales build and renovate housing for low-income families in North Collin County.

Attendees bringing items to resell in the store Saturday will receive a 25% off coupon for a regularly-priced item and are asked to stop at the donation door on the south side of the building to make the donation, which is tax-deductible.
