Scott Turner, Republican Nominee for Texas House District 33, today announced his endorsement of Jeff Leach in the upcoming runoff election for House District 67 on July 31st. Turner’s endorsement adds to the growing list of Collin County leaders who are rallying behind Jeff Leach’s campaign for the Texas House, including State Representative Jerry Madden, State Representative Ken Paxton and State Representative Jodie Laubenberg, as well as House District 67 Candidates Roger Burns, Mabel Simpson and John Pitchford, among many other community leaders and elected officials.
Scott Turner stated, “Jeff Leach has strong convictions, deeply held conservative principles, and strong leadership qualities that will help him to be an effective State Representative. The citizens of District 67 will be well-served to have a person of Jeff Leach’s character as their voice in Austin.”
In response, Jeff Leach said, “Scott Turner is a courageous conservative and a man of character and integrity. He’s a dear friend, and his support in this runoff is invaluable. I look forward to working with Scott in the coming years to ensure that our conservative values are clearly and strongly represented in the Texas Legislature.”
Running for Texas House of Representative in District 67, Jeff Leach was raised in Plano and graduated from Plano Senior High School. He is a graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law and currently practices with the law firm of Griffith Nixon Davison, P.C. He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University. Jeff and his wife Becky are active members of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano. They live in Plano with their two children Brady, age 4, and Charlotte, age 1.
