McKinney ISD plans to close the LINC Center, its alternative campus for at-risk students, at the end of the school year, according to a report in Wednesday’s edition of The Dallas Morning News.
The LINC Center, established in 1988, primiarily serves 11th and 12th graders who are behind in classwork or are risks to drop out of school.
Accrdoing to The Morning News story, this closure is in anticipation of legislative budget cuts to education and will save MISD $450,000 annually.
