Rene’s Lagniappe Has Sold

Great and Exciting things have been going on at Rene’s Lagniappe lately. If you know Rene’ you know she is always up to something. This time she has sold the salon.

Yes, the salon is now owned by Mel and Kennon Moffitt.

No, Rene’ is not leaving and there are no changes either.

This opportunity doesn’t come along every day. This will allow Rene’ to work less behind the chair to manage and market the salon more. Mel and Kennon were inspired by the concept of Rene’s Lagniappe because they too are all about giving back to the community and continued education.

Seeing how our salon has won so many awards for Community Service, providing a private room for cancer clients as well as hiring people with disabilities the Moffitts knew this was something they wanted to be a part of. Finding out there were so many educators working at the salon was icing on the cake.

We gave the announcement to the team during dinner at the Eldorado Country Club in McKinney. First there were tears of shock and panic but they soon turned to tears of joy and celebration. Everyone was on board as soon as they learned Rene’ would be more available for managing and teaching to give them the support they needed in the everyday operations of the salon and conducting classes to improve their skills.

We hope you will embrace this great news with us and continue to show your support for our salon. We have so many more exciting things to come!
