The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be restricting some traffic at the U.S. 380 and Custer Road intersection this Saturday, Jan. 7, to construct the middle of the intersection. North and southbound Custer Road traffic will only be able to make right turns at the intersection. All other movements (going straight through the intersection or making left turns) will be prohibited. Eastbound and westbound traffic on U.S. 380 will not be allowed to make left turns at the intersection. Vehicles will be able to go straight through the intersection and turn right onto Custer Road.
TxDOT will facilitate U-turns on U.S. 380 to allow motorists to complete their desired driving pattern. For example: A motorist traveling north on Custer Road wants to continue to go north on Custer Road after the U.S. 380 intersection will have to turn right onto U.S. 380 then conduct a U-turn on U.S. 380 just east of the intersection, and then turn right from US 380 back onto Custer Road.
The closure is anticipated to start at 6 a.m. on Saturday and continue through the rest of the day.
