Randy Pogue of Pogue Engineering announced Tuesday his intention to seek the open at-large seat on the McKinney city council in the upcoming election.
This seat is currently held by David Brooks, who recently announced that he would not be seeking re-election. Pogue made the announcement in the late afternoon on both his personal Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/randy.pogue1) and his personal Twitter account (https://twitter.com/RPogue1).
According to Pogue Engineering’s website, Randy Pogue started Pogue Engineering on April 8, 1999. Pogue Engineering is a consulting civil engineering and land-surveying firm.
TownSquareBuzz.com is attempting to contact Pogue for comment on his announcement and we will update this story after we speak with him. The text of Pogue’s Facebook post is below:
“After a lot of consideration, I have decided to throw my hat in the ring for City Council at Large in the City of McKinney. McKinney is a great place to live and work. I have been blessed by being here, and I fully subscribe to the sentiment that we should Learn, Earn and Return. In serving on the Council I hope to continue being a contributing member of our community. I thank you in advance for your support and your vote.”
