As part of the ongoing TxDOT project to widen U.S. 75 from the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) to White Avenue in McKinney, TxDOT has informed the City of the following temporary closures:
Park View Avenue to be Closed Sunday Night, April 12, and Monday Morning, April 13
Weather permitting, TxDOT will close Park View Avenue underneath U.S. 75 on Sunday night, 4/12, at 9 p.m. to pour the new northbound main lane concrete bridge deck. Park View Avenue will re-open on Monday morning, 4/13. At that time, the driveway under U.S. 75 leading to the Community Center will be closed for the remainder of the day. To access the Community Center during this time, please use the southern driveway along the northbound frontage road. For questions, please call the Community Center at972-547-2690.
Northbound U.S. 75 Entrance Ramp North of Virginia Parkway to be Closed Monday, April 13
Weather permitting, TxDOT will close the northbound entrance ramp to the main lanes of U.S. 75 located north of Virginia Parkway on Monday, 4/13, to allow construction in the area to continue. It will not be re-opened until later this year. In the meantime, drivers can continue north on the frontage road past White Avenue and U.S. 380 to the next entrance ramp located near Bray Central Drive.
As a reminder, this TxDOT construction project to widen U.S. 75 from the SRT to White Avenue in McKinney to four main lanes in each direction and three frontage road lanes in each direction will provide much needed extra capacity through McKinney. The project is anticipated to be complete in January 2016.
Please be safe when traveling through the work zone and always observe traffic warning signs. If you have any questions, please contact Danny Still at (972) 547-7631 or email@example.com. Thank you for your cooperation.
