Orisons Fine Art and Framing is pleased to feature painters of the Texas scene Pete Quaid and Susan Edison throughout June 2013. Meet the artists during the June 8 Second Saturday reception, held at the gallery from 7-10 p.m.
When Quaid talks about his Texas roots, he likes to point to his painting of a West Texas canyon and say, “I learned to talk not far from there. I grew to love the rugged brokenness of West Texas. It has its own beauty.”
Quaid will be demonstrating at the gallery during the Second Saturday reception at the gallery, and talking about his Texas heritage portrayed in his landscape and still life paintings.
After years of experience as an illustrator, Susan Edison is pursuing her passion for horses, cowgirls and nature in the Southwest. Edison thinks of her paintings as drawings with color, exploring new dimensions in the relationship between ground and figure. Edison will be creating a new piece during the reception.
Join us for a very special evening, serving wine, beverages and Nothing Bundt Cakes. Orisons Fine Art and Framing is located at 110 E. Louisiana St.
