The North Texas Tollway Authority Board of Directors has voted to accept the resignation of Executive Director Allen Clemson and named NTTA Assistant Executive Director of Project Delivery Gerry Carrigan as interim executive director.
Clemson submitted his resignation to the board last week. Carrigan will now serve as interim executive director.
Carrigan has been with the NTTA for nearly three years. He has more than 28 years of professional experience in the field of infrastructure program management, engineering, and construction management. Carrigan has been involved in the development and implementation of major capital improvement programs for state, county and tollway agencies.
“Gerry is the right person to be steady at the helm and keep the NTTA doing what it does best during this time of transition,” said Barr. “Getting him into position will help us begin to implement changes recommended by the just-completed county review.”
Carrigan has helped oversee several mobility projects for the NTTA during a period of tremendous growth, including The President George Bush Turnpike Eastern and Western extensions, and the completion of a four-level, six direct-connect interchange at the Sam Rayburn Tollway and 75 Central Expressway
