North JV Baseball Starts Strong

McKinney North’s JV baseball team is off to a great start at 3-0 after beating Denton High School 9-3 Thursday night in its home opener.

The Bulldogs pounded out 13 hits, including doubles by Logan Teel, Travis Scalf, Jordan Hastings and Luke Bay.  North showed lots of power at the plate and was still able to execute in small ball.  Shortstop Chandler George laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt while Julian Pope, Travis Scalf, Gabe Constantine, and Luke Bay stole bases.  Ben Dutzie, Luke Bay, and Julian Pope each had two RBIs.  On Defense, Logan Teel made an outstanding diving catch in left field to save extra bases.

Luke Bay won in his first high school start striking out two and walking two while giving up five hits and one earned run over five innings.

The Dawgs take on Lovejoy Friday night at 7:00 PM at MNHS.
