North Falls to Wylie 38-24

McKinney North head coach Mike Fecci said Friday was a chance for his Bulldogs to separate themselves from the rest of the pack in 13-4A. That goal, however, was not accomplished Friday night as North fell to Wylie 38-24 in Wylie.

North (3-4, 2-2) took a 28-24 lead into half, but was unable to keep the Pirates offense at bay, as Wylie shutout North 17-0 in the second half.

Junior running back Ronald Jones rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries. Senior quarterback Ben Dutze went 14-31 for 225 and a score.North’s defense surrendered 458 total yards, giving up 248 yards through the air.

North will host Greenville Oct. 25 at Ron Poe Stadium. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
