North junior running back Ronald Jones rushed for 217 yards and four touchdowns. Junior quarterback Ben Dutze went 20-26 for 189 yards and three touchdowns, as well as 80 rushing yards.
Prosper, however, was just as successful of offense Friday night, compiling 523 yards of total offense. The Eagles were led by senior quarterback Chase Dawkins, who went 20-30 for 203 and two touchdowns, along with 62 rushing yards and two scores on the ground.
The game was a back-and-forth affair, but Prosper’s ability to outscore North 24-14 in the second quarter guided the Eagles to the victory.
The Bulldogs, now 1-1 on the season, will be back on the gridiron Friday when they take on Frisco Centennial at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
