Today marked the 30th anniversary of Police and Fire departments partnering with neighborhoods across the city for National Night Out. The annual event intends to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support and participation in local anti-crime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community relations and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. For more information about this event or how to become involved with a local anti-crime effort, please contact the Housing and Community Development Department at 972-547-7572.
