McKinney Summer Musicals (MSM) held open auditions for its upcoming production of My Fair Lady at Trinity Presbyterian Church in McKinney on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31. After an arduous selection process, the final cast has been announced. Noelle Chesney, who played Irene Molloy in last summer’s production of Hello, Dolly!, was cast in the title role as Eliza Doolittle, and MSM newcomer Steve Garms was selected to portray Professor Henry Higgins. The supporting cast includes a diverse range of ages and backgrounds—from young schoolchildren to retired McKinney pediatrician Dr. Mack Hill, always an audience favorite.
MSM Director Kevyn Robertson noted, “We were so pleased with the large number of people who came to audition, not to mention the caliber of talent they exhibited. The buzz is already spreading for this beloved musical, and we are looking forward to a record-setting run.”
MSM’s production of My Fair Lady, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, will take place at McKinney Boyd High School July 7-8 and 12-15.
