Mr. Hardin Goes to Washington

A couple of years ago, an employment agency that places folks who may have some difficulty finding work otherwise contacted us at Rapid Refill Ink.  Valiant Employment Services represented a young man born with Down Syndrome, but quite capable of taking the responsibility of work in an environment like ours.

Blaine Hardin, currently our manager of packaging and labeling, traveled with his mother and step-father, Jane and Dean Morris, to Washington, DC this past week to speak on behalf of Special Olympics.  He had a one on one meeting with Congressman Pete Sessions and well as discussions with Representative Ralph Hall and many other dignitaries.

Special Olympics could not have a better spokesman than Blaine due to of his life-long participation, competing in golf, basketball, soccer and even sailing. Special Olympics instills a sense of confidence and happiness for everyone who participates and volunteers with the program.  That is abundantly clear in Blaine’s sunny disposition and willingness to work.

In this time of budget cuts, our representatives need to focus on programs that truly benefit deserving individuals and continue to support organizations mostly funded by the public that lift the souls of well wishers, fans, and families.

Blaine and his family enjoyed the sights of our nation’s capitol; especially a visit to Arlington National Cemetery where two of his grandfather’s brothers are buried.

Without question, we are proud to have Blaine Hardin as part of the Rapid Refill Ink family.
