Mitas Hill Vineyard Opens Gates for Grape Gathering

By Sawyer Erickson, TSB Staff

Mitas Hill Vineyard in McKinney invited the public to participate in the annual tradition of harvesting grapes Saturday.

Members of the community rolled up their sleeves, kneeled down and harvested rows and rows of Venus grapes.

After the gathering attendees were invited to stay for lunch, music and of course a little bit of wine tasting. Mitas Hill Vineyard is family owned and managed in the far north region of McKinney. The vineyard hopes to establish a wine trail through North Texas in the coming years.
