MISD Schedules Learning Fair Expo and Diabetes Walk

misdOn Saturday, Sept. 21, McKinney ISD will host its 2013 McKinney ISD Learning Fair Expo and Diabetes Walk from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at McKinney Boyd High School.

The Learning Fair Expo is a fun, multifaceted opportunity for students, parents and community members to learn everything they need to know about the McKinney ISD educational pathway — from infancy to high school and beyond.

Some 80 exhibitors from across the district and the community will be on hand to provide their expertise on such topics as district clubs and organizations, STAARtesting, career paths, health and wellness, fine arts, college financial aid and non-profit family support services.

In addition, the American Diabetes Association SchoolWalk for Diabetes will provide an opportunity for visitors to increase their diabetes and health awareness while enjoying some exercise for a good cause.

There is no admission charge for the Learning Fair Expo and Diabetes Walk, and a free lunch will be provided by Atmos Energy. Also, guests will have the opportunity to enter their names in a drawing for several great prizes.

Free bus transportation will be offered from pick-up/drop-off points at several district campuses.

This event is open to the entire community.
