McKinney ISD is encouraging all parents with children in McKinney’s schools to attend an event aimed at educating parents on the effects of bullying. On Monday, March 4, McKinney ISD will host an event titled And Words & Actions Can Hurt Forever – What Every Parent Needs to Know about Bullying.
The event will feature a presentation by National Bullying Prevention Expert Donna Clark Love. Love has been interviewed for People Magazine and has appeared on NBC’s Today Show to speak about bullying.
“Bullying is not new. It is happening in every community in our nation. We want to give our students, parents and our community members strategies to prevent and intervene in bullying behaviors,” said P.J. Holland-Rasor, Director of Counseling and Student Support for MISD.
The event will take place at the Minshew Elementary Cafetorium (300 Joplin Drive) from 7 to 8:30 p.m on Monday evening.
