Middle School Volleyball Scoreboard: Sept. 27 Games

MISD results from Thursday’s matches:

Evans’ 8th grade volleyball teams beat Dowell in all three matches, winning the A-team game 25-9, 25-12; the B-team game 25-17, 27-25; and the C-team game 25-16, 25-23.

Evans’ 7th grade teams won two of three matches. The Panthers beat the Lionettes’ Blue team 25-16, 12-25, 25-23 in a close one. Offensive player of the game for Dowell was Peyton Hubbard for 5 kills.  Defensive player of the game for Dowell was Caroline Cox for big saves on defense. Overall Player of the game for Dowell was Ava Karl for effort and hard work.

The Dowell Gold team won 26-24 and 26-24. Offensive player of the game was Kensee Lawless for her hitting effectiveness.  Defensive player is Kathryn Uribe for solid back row passes and digs. Overall player of the game was Keely Andrews for excellent saves and smart decisions.

Evans beat Dowell’s White team 25-16, 25-23. Overall players of the game for Dowell were Hannah Taylor for hustling on the court and Haley Isbell for keeping the energy up.

The Lionettes’ next match will take place against Highland Park at home on Oct. 4. The Blue team will take the court first at 5 p.m., followed by the Gold and White teams.
