The championship hopes vanished quickly for Frozen Ropes on Friday at the Mickey Mantle World Series.
The Titans were eliminated 5-2 by the Dallas Tigers Vanlandingham in the national 16-year-old championships held annually at Al Alford Stadium. A bases loaded double in the bottom of the sixth by the Tigers’ Cameron Yates gave Dallas a 5-1 lead going into the last inning. Despite an RBI double by Tommy Nawa that cut the Tigers lead to three, the Titans couldn’t muster up another run and saw their summer come to an end.
With the loss, the Titans finished the tournament with a 1-2 record and finished in sixth place out of nine teams. The Dallas Tigers Vanlandingham advanced onto Saturday and is one of the five teams remaining in the bracket.

Dallas Tigers Hernandez had a bye. They will play the San Diego Gamers at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Puerto Rico has a bye in round four. They will play on Saturday at either 5:30 or 8 p.m. after round four has been completed and the teams are adjusted for natural pairings.

San Diego is eliminated with a loss.
Dallas Tigers Vanlandingham vs. SoCal Bombers – 1:30 p.m.

Upon completion of the 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. games, the remaining teams will be reseeded based on natural pairings and round five games will be at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Al Alford Field.
