MHS Choir to Present Feast of Carols Madrigal Dinner

The Kingdom lives on . . . The King of Lyonesse invites you to begin the holiday season with the pomp and charm of Renaissance England at the Sixteenth Anniversary “Feast of Carols” Madrigal Dinner presented by the McKinney High School Choir Department. Festivities will be held Friday, December 2, at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 3, at noon in the Family Sports Center at the First Baptist Church of McKinney.

In anticipation of your visit, the King and Queen are busily preparing the Castle Lyonesse with the sights and sounds of merry old England. Cindy Johnston, MHS Choral Director, says, “You can expect near-authenticity in the royal banquet fare as well as the sets and costuming. It is more than a night of watching and listening; it is an evening of participation as the audience members become a part of the show!” Royalty, jesters, knights, dancers, and musicians will mingle with guests as they offer their Yuletide greetings. For the Saturday event only, “Peasant Porch” returns: enjoy the show plus dessert-and-drinks-only seating for a reduced cost!

All tickets are reserved and must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be available at the door. Ticket information and reservation forms can be obtained by visiting the McKinney High School Choir website at Follow the directions on the form and return it with your payment by mail or hand delivery. There are only two shows this year, so complete your reservations early!
