The McKinney Economic Development Corporation, which met Tuesday morning, has been busy promoting McKinney regionally, nationally and internationally in the last 30 days.
Mayor Pro Tem Travis Ussery and MEDC participated in the Asian American Citizens Council at its 12th annual banquet in Dallas on Saturday.
On Sept. 28, MEDC will join the McKinney Chamber of Commerce and Texas Workforce Solutions at the Governor’s Small Business Forum & Expo in Allen.
MEDC and Mayor Brian Loughmiller attended the TexasOne Signature event in New York along with 10 organizations from Texas. MEDC met with site selection consultants from WDG Consulting, Ernest & Young and Cushman & Wakefield.
In Dallas, MEDC attended the D Magazine Signature RealPoint VIP event at the Tower at Cityplace.
State Rep. Ken Paxton served as the speaker representing Collin County’s Regional Partnership of Allen, Frisco, McKinney and Plano.
In August, MEDC participated in the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors 27th annual Commercial Real Estate Expo. MEDC’s booth greeted 1,800 as staff met with commerical real estate professionals.
The annual Japan-America Grassroots Summit in North Texas visited the MEDC – MCED office, and Mayor Loughmiller presented a proclamation to the visitors who were hosted by McKinney families. The summit was designed to foster friendships between U.S. and Japanese citizens.
