McKinney’s VFW Post Celebrates 75 Years

The revered Congressman Sam Johnson joined Mayor Brian Loughmiller and local veterans in McKinney on Saturday, June 18, to participate in the VFW Post 2150’s 75th anniversary celebration. Johnson was a POW during the Vietnam war.

The VFW (Vetrans of Foreign Wars) is located at 1710 N. Church St. in McKinney and according to Post Commander, Chuck Royco, the group is very active.

“I don’t think the community is aware of all we do here,” said Royco.

Steak dinner nights, dart leagues, shuffleboard tournaments and dancing to live music on Friday evenings are just some of the things that the VFW has to offer the community. For more information: 972.542.9119
