McKinney, TX Libraries Offer Free Tax Assistance

McKINNEY, Texas (Jan. 21, 2016) – The McKinney Public Library System will provide free tax assistance from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.beginning Jan. 25 through April 9 at both library locations. Tax assistance volunteers provided by AARP will be at the Roy & Helen Hall Memorial Library, 101 E. Hunt St., every Friday and Saturday and will be at the John & Judy Gay Library, 6861 W. Eldorado Pkwy., every Monday. Patrons should bring a photo ID, social security card and tax documents. Tax assistance is not limited to residents of McKinney.


Libraries will have limited tax forms available and offer access to the IRS website for additional forms and information. A library card is not needed for this access.
