McKinney, TX Fire Department Makes Quick Work of Single Unit Fire

On Wednesday, September 23 shortly after 5:00 p.m., the McKinney Fire Department received a report of a possible structure fire at the Skyway Villas Apartments located at 2000 Skyline Dr, McKinney, TX 75071.

“The first unit arrived on scene at 5:06 p.m. reporting Apt. 422 fully engulfed in black smoke,” said McKinney Fire Department Public Information Officer Stacie Durham. “By 5:13 p.m. the fire was declared out with no reported injuries.”

Total damage estimate for property and contents is $15,000. The fire is under investigation by the office of the Fire Marshal.

The last FD unit cleared the scene at 6:39 p.m.
