Ever watched your kids play soccer and wondered what it would be like to try the game for yourself? Maybe you played back in high school or college and would like to get back into the sport? Or perhaps, you’re simply looking for a fun way to get back in shape? Well, now’s your chance! The McKinney Soccer Association is accepting new (and returning) player registrations through Monday, Feb. 25, for the spring 2013 season.
Originally created as “Social Sundays” for adults 19 and over, the adult soccer league was formed nearly six years ago to be social in design and allow local residents to play with spouses and neighbors, and to improve the appreciation of the rules and for children playing the sport. As of the fall 2012, the co-ed league had increased to 24 teams with beginner, intermediate and advanced divisions, and now also offers a division for adults 35 and over.
Fees are $90 per player and registration closes on Monday February 25, 2013. The season kicks off on March 3, 2013 and consists of a minimum of 8 games. If you have questions regarding the league please contact the Adult Commissioner, Cindy Ayers, at firstname.lastname@example.org or you may contact the MSA office any time at 972-569-6808.
