McKinney Roadwork: Park Ave. Construction Extended, Cotton Ridge North at Custer Reopens

Submitted by Anna Clark, City of McKinney

As part of the ongoing Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) project to widen U.S. 75 in McKinney, Park View Ave. has been temporarily closed between U.S. 75 and Wilson Creek Blvd. The closure was originally scheduled to end today, but it has been extended.

The closure impacts only the portion of Park View Ave. east of U.S. 75. The U.S. 75 main lanes and frontage road lanes and Park View Ave. west of U.S. 75 remain open. Detour signs direct drivers around the closure.

As part of a separate TxDOT project to widen Custer Rd., Cotton Ridge North had been temporarily closed on the west side of Custer Road. That closure has ended, and Cotton Ridge North at Custer Rd. is now open.

Please drive safely through work zones, and observe traffic warning signs. For construction updates, visit
