Three McKinney men have thrown thousands of dollars toward State Sen. Ken Paxton’s (R-McKinney) campaign for Texas Attorney General. The Texas Tribune, a TownSquareBuzz.com content-sharing partner, launched its interactive application detailing the top individuals and action committees donating to statewide campaigns. The data is from the first half of 2013.
- Pat Lobb, owner of Pat Lobb Auto Group, contributed $10,000 to Paxton.
- Eric Zepp of BP contributed $2500 to Paxton.
- Joe Thomason of Tenet Healthcare contributed $2000 to Paxton.
- Keith Clifton, of Anna and Tenet Tracker, contributed $2500 to Paxton.
Opponent Dan Branch has attracted contributions from primarily Dallas whereas Paxton and Barry Smitherman have a well-rounded geographically represented list of contributors.
One other statewide candidate received a top cash donation from a McKinney resident. George P. Bush, running for land commissioner, received a $25,000 donation from John V. Lattimore.
