McKINNEY, Texas (Dec. 10, 2015) – The McKinney Police Department (MPD) has announced the promotion of Matt Kasmerski to Deputy Chief, effective Dec. 14. Kasmerski was promoted from the position of Patrol Lieutenant to Deputy Chief leading the Professional Services Division.
“This promotion is well deserved and we applaud Deputy Chief Kasmerski for his professionalism and dedication in ensuring our citizens are safe day in and day out,” said Police Chief Greg Conley. “We are proud of him and look forward to the contributions he continues to make in our community.”
Kasmerski has served the MPD since 2003. Prior to coming to McKinney, he was a Trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety. Kasmerski holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from West Liberty State University in West Virginia.
