McKinney Police, Fire Departments to Host Open House on Aug. 3

The McKinney Public Safety Building will offer an inside look to the public on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.at 2200 Taylor-Burk Drive.

The event is open to the public and includes tours of the Public Safety Building, child identification stations, vehicle displays, safety simulators, kids’ activities and food. Attendees will have the chance to interact with public safety personnel and various community organizations.

Entertainment will include the following:

–Explore emergency vehicles from the City of McKinney Police & Fire Departments including, SWAT, CSI, Fire engines and ambulances.

–The McKinney Mounted Patrol

–Appearances by McGruff the Crime Dog, Red E. Fox and Sparky the Fire Dog

–Bounce house and other kids’ activities

–Free hamburgers and hotdogs (limit 1 per person)

–911 simulator

–Child I.D. station

Residents are encouraged to bring their children for a day of education and fun with McKinney Public Safety professionals. Pre-registration online at www.mckinneytexas.org/nno is encouraged.
