The McKinney North tennis team had a successful two days at the Region II-4A Tournament.

Jordan Hart cruised through the regional by defeating singles players from North Dallas High School, Texas High, Red Oak and Texas High (again).  Jordan dropped just 10 total games on his way to the Region II-4A Title. The Regional championship gives Jordan a ticket to Austin, where he will have the chance to defend his 4A state title at the state tournament April 29-30.

The boys doubles team of Santiago Gonzalez and Jordan Brewer were regional semifinalists. They played a 3 hour first-round match squeezing past Corsicana.  They cruised past Texas High in the second round before battling Highland Park late into the night coming up just short against the Scots in 3 long sets.

The mixed doubles team of Colby Seamster and Elise Schraer were Region II-4A semifinalists. They opened with a tough 3 set victory over Longview Pine Tree and pulled out two tough tiebreak sets versus Centennial to reach the Semifinals. In the semifinals, they were defeated by No. 1 seed and defending state champion Highland Park.

Brooke Lowes, who qualified for Regionals in girls singles, lost a tough three-set first-round match to Jacksonville.
