No need to adjust your TV set. The Raymond Radway wearing No. 86 for the Dallas Cowboys and catching a touchdown pass in the third quarter to put the ‘Boys ahead of Denver 10-9 on Thursday night is the same Radway that graduated from McKinney North in 2005.
He didn’t play football for four years, then returned to the game to play collegiately at Abilene Christian. He is a rookie free agent with the Cowboys. And though a longshot to make the regular season roster, his heroics on Thursday at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington certainly didn’t hurt his chances.
“What a great story,” TV analyst and former Cowboy Babe Laufenberg said. It was Dallas’ first touchdown of the season during its first preseason game.
In high chool, Radway lettered in both football and track and field.
Radway celebrated his 24th birthday last month.
