On December 9, 2015, officers from the McKinney Police Department were notified of a child victims’ outcry alleging that two children had been touched and fondled by a male neighbor and family friend. McKinney police detectives determined that the suspect, who has a child close in age to the victims, would occasionally watch the children overnight.
On December 21, 2015, the McKinney Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Indecency with a Child for Larry Combest, a 45 year-old male from McKinney, Texas. Judge Jay A. Bender of the County Court at Law 6, Collin County, Texas, signed the warrant, and set the bond at $100,000. McKinney Police arrested Larry Combest on this same day and booked him into CCSO without incident.
Following the arrest of Larry Combest detectives discovered an additional offense that occurred in Wylie, Texas approximately 10 years earlier. This information was relayed to the Wylie Police Department.
On January 5, 2016, McKinney Police Detectives obtained an additional arrest warrant for Attempted Indecency with a Child for Larry Combest. Judge Jay A. Bender of the County Court at Law 6, Collin County, Texas, signed the warrant, and set the bond at $500,000.
