On Friday, February 3, McKinney ISD began an exciting new partnership with RaceTrac at a kickoff event held at the Virginia/U.S. 75 RaceTrac location. For the next six months, RaceTrac will donate 5% of its in-store sales from its six McKinney locations to benefit McKinney ISD math, science and fine arts programs.
Anyone and everyone can participate. At the time of purchase, customers simply need to say, “MISD,” and RaceTrac will donate 5% of the cost of the purchase to McKinney ISD.
At the kickoff event, McKinney ISD Superintendent Dr. J.D. Kennedy presented RaceTrac representatives with a plaque in appreciation of their support of McKinney ISD.
“It is so exciting to see businesses in our community understand the importance of partnering with their school district,” Nancy Cowlishaw, Coordinator of the Partners in Education program, said.
The goal of the McKinney ISD Partners in Education program district / business partnership is to foster a mutually beneficial relationship between community businesses and the school district where the parties involved share resources.
