McKinney is 4th-Ranked Texas City For Finding Jobs

TSB Community Links

The website Nerdwallet.com thinks highly of our fair city, as it most rightly should, correct?

It analyzed U.S. Census data to determined the best Lone Star State cities to find a job based on three questions: Is the city growing? Do people earn high salaries? Are most people employed?

And guess what? Only League City (in Galveston County, if you didn’t know), Allen and Sugar Land topped McKinney.

The website had this to say about McKinney: “Noted by the Census Bureau as a fast-growth city numerous times over the past decade, McKinney has seen its population more than double between 2000 and 2010. The city has a low unemployment rate of 5.8%, as of April 2013, and is a center for tech, medical and manufacturing companies. Major employers include Raytheon, Torchmark, StatLab and Manner Plastics. The McKinney Independent School District is also a large employer for the city.”
