McKINNEY, Texas (April 2, 2015) – The McKinney Housing and Community Development Department will host a series of community forums, public hearings and surveys to gain understanding of community needs to shape the city’s five-year Housing and Community Development Consolidated Plan. Residents will be asked to comment and help prepare the city’s plan, which includes community needs, resources and priorities for housing and community development activities funded with grants under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Areas impacted by the funds also include public services, infrastructure, fair housing, youth, education, homelessness and job creation.
