McKinney FFA Members Exhibit Best Hogs in Breed Division at TJLA Fall Classic Pig Show

Submitted by MISD

McKinney FFA member Hannah Fincher exhibited the Reserve Breed Champion White OPB Rings A & B and McKinney Junior FFA member Brylee Lacy exhibited the Breed Champion Black OPB in Ring A at the TJLA Fall Classic Pig Show in Waco over Thanksgiving Break. Hannah and Brylee were considered by the judges to have the best hogs in their breed division.

Fourteen McKinney ISD FFA families and 31 swine projects attended the show over the break. Many class winners and top 5 finishes by many of our students with their swine projects. The TJLA Fall Classic Pig Show is the toughest pig show in Texas during the Fall. Over 250 pigs from across Texas were exhibited at the TJLA Fall Classic over Thanksgiving Break.

Very proud of all of the McKinney FFA Swine Team and their accomplishments. Students are preparing for the Collin County Junior Livestock Show that will be held on January 9, 2013.
