With the smell of Schnitzel hanging in the air McKinney residents dug out their lederhosens and dirndls (traditional Bavarian clothing) to join those gathered at the downtown square for the annual Oktoberfest celebration. The fun began Friday and continues through Saturday.
After only five years, this community and family centric festival has grown immensely; expanding to include 14 blocks of the downtown district. From beer produced at the local Franconia brewery to a rock wall and inflatable entertainment for kids there is sure to be something for the each member of the family to enjoy.
Whether you have the ‘appropriate’ attire or not, be sure to stop by and see the many attractions that Oktoberfest McKinney has to offer. Saturday’s entertainment includes but is not limited to:
