More than 1,000 girls and boys, ages middle school through highschool, from all over Texas and surrounding states will compete in The Sport of Arts on Saturday, March 10, at McKinney Boyd.
The North Texas Colorguard Association regional competition will feature Guard and Percussion and Cadet Championships. They will come from as far Odessa inside Texas, as well as towns such as Arkadelphia, Ark., and Adamson, Okla. More than 55 guards and drum lines will compete from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on that day.
North Texas Colorguard Association: (NTCA) was founded in 1993, with the firstcompetitions taking place in the spring of 1994. The founding members wanted to have a circuitbased in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The growth in North Texas has been tremendous, andthe circuit now has well over one hundred competing units from both winterguard and indoorpercussion. http://www.ntca-online.com/
