There’s no doubt the McKinney Boyd Broncos are in need of a morale boost.
Last Friday night, the Broncos took one on the chin in a 31-10 loss at home to the Garland Owls. The last time McKinney Boyd scored fewer than 10 points in a game was back in 2006, the same year the school first opened its doors.
Well, the Broncos couldn’t ask for a better rebound opportunity this week as they prepare to host Naaman Forest in Friday’s 2011 Homecoming Game. The Rangers haven’t had much success this season and slipped to 0-2 in district play after a 12-10 loss to Lakeview Centennial. The Centennial Patriots were blasted by the Broncos (58-14) in their district opener.

Drake’s Take On Naaman Forest
They’re going to come in prepared. They’re going to play hard and get after it.
The Broncos Will Win If…
they show up to Ron Poe Stadium ready to beat Naaman Forest. If they try to go through the motions they may end up in a closer ballgame than expected.
The Rangers Will Win If…
Boyd just flat out doesn’t show up. Unfortunately, it’s homecoming night and I just don’t see the Broncos taking the field without being focused.
My pick should be obvious but in case it’s not I’ll go ahead and say that I expect the Broncos to pull this one out. McKinney Boyd is a scarier team after a loss than a victory. The Broncos took a beating from the Owls last week and its time to take it out on somebody else. On Friday night, in front of a packed crowd on homecoming night they will blow the doors off of Naaman Forest.
Final Score – McKinney Boyd 63, Naaman Forest 10
