Man Drowns at Towne Lake on Sunday Morning

towne lakeMark Kyle Willis, 31, died Sunday morning while fishing at Towne Lake in McKinney, according to the McKinney Police Department.

McKinney Police officers responded to 1405 Wilson Creek Parkway on suspicion of a possible drowning. Upon arrival on the scene, officers located an African-American male deceased in Towne Lake. After identifying the victim as Willis, notification was made to an immediate family member.

McKinney Police Spokesman Sergeant Chad Barker said that the McKinney Police was told that Willis had some pre-existing medical issues. Barker also said that the drowning is currently considered accidental.

An investigation into the cause of Willis’ drowning is ongoing.
