Major Round Top Show Owner & Dealer Headed to Van Alstyne

Submitted by TSB Community

Van Alstyne’s Arts & Antiques Fair recently landed nationally recognized designer, antiques dealer and show owner/producer Michael Peters for their 2012 event. The charming and outspoken entrepreneur has designed and updated both indoor and outdoor projects around the country.

“We are thrilled to have Mike committed to our show,” said Cheryl Snyder, President of the Van Alstyne Chamber of Commerce. “His talent and merchandising expertise in show production are qualities that are well respected. He is the dealer, buyer and designer that we all admire. Our buyers are in for a real treat.”

Peters is well known throughout the U.S. for his design work, his popular Michael Peters Antiques in Kansas City and as the owner/manager of the Blue Hills at Round Top show. As a veteran antique dealer, with over 30 years experience, his eye for design provides a beautiful combination and one of a kind style.

“I am excited to add Van Alstyne’s Arts & Antiques Fair to my fall schedule. It’s an extremely busy time of year for us, but we are delighted by this opportunity and invitation,” said Peters. “Two of my best friends in the business and coincidentally, also Round Top dealers have opened a wonderful shop in Van Alstyne. We know we will bump into many of our favorite shoppers from Blue Hills, but we are counting on being introduced to many new friends during the show.”

Shoppers from around the U.S. and beyond visit Peters’ Blue Hills during the incredibly popular Round Top events. Since the Fall of 2007 he has owned/managed Blue Hills, creating an elite group of dealers. According to Show Daily, a publication touted as “The only Who’s Who guide to Texas’ most important antique event,” Peters has “transformed the venue into a swank destination for visitors seeking the best in antiques and fine art. The all-star line-up of dealers…have designers and decorators alike jumping with joy.”

“We are certainly very pleased to have Mike on board!” said Snyder. “As a member of the jury panel for our show, we are dedicated to seeking show dealers and designers that are experienced, unique and quality oriented. We want to provide our shoppers and visitors an experience that leaves them saying…wow, Van Alstyne definitely delivered on their promise of an exciting show! Mike’s participation gives us a leg up in doing so. We are so honored he will be here.”

Details for the schedule or vendor opportunities of the Van Alstyne Arts & Antique Fair, October 19-21, are available at, or by contacting the Van Alstyne Chamber of Commerce at 903-482-6066.
