About 20 of your neighbors pushed themselves through a challenge that most found too daunting. We walked, we crawled. Yes, the group worked hard tasting 14 cocktails at seven establishments in downtown McKinney in search of the very best summer cocktail.
The votes were close but it was Louisiana St. Grill that came out the winner with its Black Orchid, comprised of raspberry vodka, St. Germain, fresh squeezed lemon juice and a honey clover syrup. Louisiana St. Grill is located at 350 East Louisiana St.
Thanks to all the participating restaurants who helped us raise $200 for the TownSquareBuzz Foundation’s Red Shirt Fridays initiative, an awareness campaign to thank veterans and their families living in McKinney for their service. We hope to see you join us next summer for the Third Annual Pub Crawl as we once again search for the best!
Other favorites on the crawl:
- Churchill’s – La Cura; made with Tequila, beer and blue agave nectar.
- Louisiana St. Grill – Jameson Flower; made with whiskey and St. Germain.
- Rick’s Chophouse/Lounge – Blood Orange Martini; Pear Martini; Passion Fruit Chili Martini; Belvedere & St. Germain.
- La Misha – White Sangria
- Square Burger – Coconut Mojito (came in second place)
