Aaron Gigley, 16, has dealt with various disabilities for most of his life. He knows what it’s like to face challenges. So, recently, he came up with the idea to create a race not only for able-bodied kids and adults but for those with special needs and disabilities.
In fact, he came home with the idea Nov. 12 and in less than four weeks has raised more than $8,500 in sponsorships and over $5,000 in fundraising for Aaron’s Race & Roll.
“It will be a 5k, 1k race to give kids/adults with challenges, disabilities, and issues, the chance to accomplish a goal!” Aaron writes on his website. ” I want kids/adults of all abilities to be able to Run this race, or Roll in this race – wheelchairs and crutches included!”
Aaron, a sophomore at Imagine International, wants to know if you’d like to register, donate or volunteer for the event. Please click on his website right here to participate!
