Dear Chuck and Pablo,
I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for your time in meeting with me recently.
During my campaign, I vowed to be open, transparent and to make well-reasoned decisions for our community while always keeping an open mind and showing genuine respect to everyone. My plan is to carry this message forward and continue to be involved in our city governance. Knowing that we may not always agree on every issue – I will conclude that we all want what is best for McKinney.
I realized in meeting with you both we share many similarities in wanting to serve this great city and I applaud you for your dedication and solid work ethic. You both represent the genuine “passion” that touches me in wanting to serve on McKinney City Council.
I spent countless hours this week comparing you both in what I see as strengths and weaknesses in moving our city forward.
My decision is based on overall professional experience – specifically in dealing with crisis management, the highs and the lows and ultimately being able to be a strong and steady leader. I hope you both can understand how very important that element is to me considering the remarkable turnover in key personnel that the city has faced in recent years. Not only did I witness it first hand, I realized how critical it is to have the right leaders in place to serve and represent our city.
Based on comparing your resumes, and meeting with the both of you, it appears to me that Pablo has been confronted with these obstacles countless times throughout his career. Pablo’s background represents strength, courage and the ability to build a consensus through teambuilding. Pablo has persevered, been recognized for outstanding leadership and continues to excel in this field. Therefore, I am opting to endorse Pablo at this time.
I sincerely wish you both the best of luck in your endeavors – win or lose. I will always be accessible. Please feel free to call me anytime at 972.743.1770.
