Conservative Republican running for State Rep. Jeff Leach on Wednesday announced he has received the endorsement of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility (TFR), one of the state’s leading conservative organizations working to promote sound tax policy, government transparency, and greater efficiency in spending.
“In Jeff Leach, voters will have a dedicated public servant effectively fighting for the conservative values and principles that Texas families demand,” Michael Quinn Sullivan, President of TRF said in his endorsement. “He is a strong, principled conservative who will bring much-needed energy to the Texas House. He can be counted on by voters to oppose new taxes, fight to reduce Texans’ tax burden, and demand greater accountability for how our dollars are spent.”
Texans for Fiscal Responsibility exists to create and sustain a system of strong fiscal stewardship within all levels of Texas government. They work to ensure protection of economic and personal liberties, and to promote public policies that provide individuals with the freedom to use their strengths and talents in pursuit of greater opportunities. As one of the most influential conservative groups in the state, TFR constantly strives to empower citizens to play a more active role in government and hold their elected officials more accountable.
In response to their endorsement Jeff Leach said, “Texans for Fiscal Responsibility is one of the most highly respected and prominent conservative groups in Texas. To have their endorsement is a great honor, as I believe the continued promotion of limited government and lower taxes is the cornerstone to our conservative principles. I look forward to a long relationship with TFR and continuing their great work as a member of the Texas Legislature.”
