Laudenslager Brothers are Former Bulldogs Making Most of College Careers

Two brothers, both former McKinney North football players, finished memorable college football seasons. …
Alex Laudenslager, 2009 McKinney North graduate, just finished his football career at Colorado School of Mines.  He graduated in May 2013 with a Petroleum Engineering degree and stayed for the 2013 football season and is getting his Energy Technology Masters right now. He finished the season strong, even though he had a knee injury that caused him to miss a couple of games.  He was one of five defensive players recently named to the ALL-RMAC. Mines is a Division II school that plays in the Rocky Mountain Conference.  His sophomore year, Mines won their conference and went one round in the playoffs. He played several different positions during his four years and was a leader on the team.

Austin Laudenslager, 2011 McKinney North graduate, is a redshirt sophomore at Rice University  playing defensive end.  He had his first snap of the season on Oct. 19 against New Mexico State and he had an interception. The whole team swarmed him when he came off the field.  They beat Marshall last weekend to clinch the conference title.  This has not happened in over 50 years. Rice will play Mississippi State in the Liberty Bowl on Dec. 31. Austin, a walk-on, is majoring in Civil Engineering.
