McKinney’s Varsity lacrosse team moved to 3-3 on the season Tuesday night with a 7-6 win over Allen.
McKinney was led by sophomore goalie Connor Burke coming up with critical saves late in the contest and great long pole defense by junior Brian Hettish. Midfielder Johnny Santos spear headed the offense with 4 goals and an assist while Brody Kovacs added two goals from his attack position.
The team was much improved in their overall time of possession over previous games, and although McKinney found themselves in several man-down situations in the second half, they hung on to secure their third victory on the season.
McKinney hosts a tough Flower Mound team Thursday March 8th to kick off DII District play. JV plays at 6:00pm and Varsity at 7:30pm at Al Ruschhaupt Soccer Complex.
